Burján Hús is more than just a butcher shop, it’s a family tradition that has been kept alive for generations in the small Hungarian village of Dömsöd. For decades, locals have relied on them for fresh, quality meat, served with the kind of personal care that only a family business can provide.

When they approached me, the goal was to honor that heritage while helping them step confidently into the digital age. I designed their full brand identity,  from the logo and business cards to product labels and packaging  capturing the essence of tradition in a modern visual language.

The biggest leap forward came with their webshop. But a butcher’s e-commerce store isn’t like selling books or clothes. Customers needed the freedom to order meat in slices, by half kilos, kilos, grams. To make this possible, I customized WooCommerce to handle fractional quantities, so someone could easily add “half a kilo of pork” to their cart without limitation.

To reflect their personal delivery service, I also built a custom scheduling system that allows customers to choose exact dates and times for both home delivery and in-store pickup.

And because photography is a personal passion of mine, many of the images that bring the webshop to life were shot by me.

The result is an online presence that feels authentic, modern, and true to the heart of Burján Hús.
